THE WEDDING OF TAMMY AND CHRIS in Armidale

Tammy and Chris were married in Armidale in January with a reception at the beautiful Peterson’s Winery. I previously photographed her sister’s wedding a couple of years ago and their parents’ wedding thirty years prior to that!

Their niece Camilla featured during the entire day and threatened to steal the limelight a couple of times, but we managed to hold her back.

Brett and Wendy

Outside Gunnedah on the Liverpool Plains, Brett and Wendy have a beautiful property where Spring has come early. I went out there today to show them their recent portraits and stayed to do some more of them while the fruit trees are blooming.

There is a small, very peaceful courtyard complete with fountain and falling blossoms. This is where I photographed Brett and Wendy again.

Tom and his dog

Tom has a property near Somerton NSW and his family has been there since the 1880s, so I guess he’s a local. This shed is only 100 years old, but it still works. I thought originally that his family settled on the place in 1912, but that was just when they built the current house.

Jock and Julie, Bundella, NSW.

I went to NSW to photograph some people and ended up photographing other people as well! Jock and Julie own a farm at Bundella and I used their old woodshed as a prop when I photographed the family. The land around is extremely flat so we took the risk an climbed onto the rusty roof to make their main portrait. This is one of the other portraits. I love realism in most of my portraits and Jock had just stepped off the tractor for the portrait session.

Beside the old woolshed is a dead caravan. Been there for years, but its just starting to look photogenic.

A BENTLEY IN THE BUSH!

I visited a farming family outside Gunnedah last week and made some portraits around his place. One of the sheds contained a beautiful nineteen-twenty- something Bentley. After I had finished with Brett he started the Bentley and took it down the road for me to photograph. It is a most beautiful machine and sounds absolutely perfect. Totally restored and roadworthy, it has been used as their holiday touring car. The last main trip was to Tasmania for a couple of weeks.
